County.  With all of the challenges facing education, this is our opportunity to highlight the many teachers who do extraordinary work every day with very little attention or recognition.  We hope to stream the event live, so stay…

I'll give you a call later this week : )

Per the essays, I would think that if they are submitted to a contest and judged by a panel then they are meant to be public. But it's your contest, so definitely follow your rules.

Kathy has a few of the essays already typed up. Not sure if we should post without permission--some of them are very personal. Do you have thoughts about that?

Oh, this is my first opportunity to post. Will you call and walk me through it some time next week (except Tues)? I'm new to this and feel a bit lost, though I know it must be very simple.

ECCLA/USC Teacher Awards
Rules and Nomination form
Each May, a number of teachers from ECCLA’s targeted schools are honored at a reception before peers, family and friends. Two of the nominated teachers are then selected to receive the $500 ECCLA/USC Teacher Awards. The cash awards are made possible by USC-Regina Hunter Bloom endowment.

Bogart/USC Family of Five Teacher Awards
In addition to the two annual ECCLA/USC Teacher Awards, five additional awards are given to one teacher from the five original schools of the USC Family of Schools. These $500 awards are made possible by an endowment from Mr. and Mrs. Nelson T. Bogart. The awards recognize outstanding teachers whose efforts go above and beyond the call of duty.
