USC Good Neighbors Campaign Launches With Outdoor Kick-off

The annual USC Good Neighbors Campaign—a fundraising effort that brings in contributions from USC faculty and staff—launches with an outdoor celebration on the USC campus. Proceeds from the campaign support partnership programs with over 40 community-based organizations surrounding the University Park and Health Science campuses.

  WHAT: An outdoor celebration featuring information tables, student speakers, opening remarks by President C. L. Max Nikias, and a presentation of a check representing the $1.2 million awarded to community organizations through funds riased by the campaign in the previous year.

  • Guadalupe Cardona, USC first-year student and graduate of the Neighborhood Academic Initiative (NAI) program

WHERE: Alumni Park, USC University Park campus

PARKING: Enter campus at Entrance 3 on Figueroa Blvd. Parking is free with valid media credential.

The USC Good Neighbors Campaign is a university-wide fundraising effort implemented by the office of USC Government and Civic Engagement. Proceeds support university-community partnership programs, including a cumulative total of more than 450 enrichment programs for local schoolchildren, volunteer projects, and community research programs. Each year, more than 6,000 USC faculty and staff participate in this program via payroll deduction and one-time gifts.
