Upward Bound is currently in the running for a much needed $50,000 grant available through the Pepsi Refresh Project

USC Upward Bound is facing budget issues that directly affect the Summer Residential Program. The goal of the Summer Residential Program is to give participants a
“college experience.” Traditionally during the summer, selected Upward
Bound participants have the opportunity to spend five-wee
ks in the dormitories in conjunction with a college curriculum. Customarily, 60 participants are selected to participate in the Summer Residential Program. However, the 2010 Summer Residential Program is already encountering problems because only 40 participants will be invited to participate. You have the opportunity to change that!

Upward Bound is currently in the running for a much needed $50,000 grant available through the Pepsi Refresh Project, but we need your help to win!

In order to win, Upward Bound must rank inthe top 10 list of this month's Refresh Everything project. To help
Upward Bound reach that goal and win the grant, we ask that you do the
following.

Step 1: Create account http://www.refresheverything.com/

Step 2: Vote for us EVERYDAY at: www.refresheverything.com/

Step 3: Tell 20 of your friends to vote for us

Step 4: Spread the word on your Facebook wall, and MySpace

Your participation will help us reach our goal of giving participants a “college experience.”

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Adriana Gutierrez by phone (213) 743.1472 or by email gutie2@usc.edu.
