"a weekly creative (J)azz celebration of African roots, social consciousness & spiritual transcendence. Stylistically it generally revolves around a specific sub-genre that has come to be called "spiritual (J)azz"; however, I often touch base w/ many other facets of the (J)azz tradition. It is mostly a music mix show w/ occasional live performances & interviews" - /\/\/\/\
"Peace Los Angeles Family. I am coming home. Because I am a traveler and the son of African revolutionary folks from Malawi people often forget I was born in LA. I DON'T. I was physically born there and then I was born again at the WORLD STAGE in Leimert Park. I will be returning to LA for one show at the World Stage on Saturday, October 12th. I will be bringing Roque from Cuba, Mxo from South Africa and supported by my sister Nailah who has roots in North Carolina. Basically I will coming to to share my new music, new album and what I am learning in my travels around the globe as a musician. Today is my birthday but the real celebration will be at the World Stage with my community on October 12th. Please come and support me:" - Masauko
