Cultural Continuum: Peace Go With You, Gil
Mercado La Paloma presents a very special Sunday night event for LA music and culture lovers. Come celebrate the legacy of the legendary Gil Scott-Heron on February 24th for a small and intimate performance of 'Peace Go With You, Gil.'
The 'Peace Go With You, Gil' Ensemble will include vocals by Jimetta Rose and Love-Logiq, trumpet playing by Todd M. Simon, keyboards by Mark de Clive-Lowe, guitar by Patrick Bailey, percussion by Allakoi Peete and drums by Dexter Story.
The performance will also include one very special guest, Gia Scott-Heron.
Immediately following the 'Peace Go With You, Gil' performance will be a jazz, live remix and dance party.
Doors open at 7:00PM. 'Peace Go With You, Gil' runs from 8:00-9:00pm.
The event is free of charge and will be held at 3655 S. Grand Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90007.
