As the year comes to a close, we just want to thank you for helping us change the world. Yes, change the world. No, we're not curing cancer, but we are touching peoples' lives every day. We know that. And in this fast-paced smart-phone world, people need that more than ever before. It is you, who come to our events, who teach our children every day in the classroom and come to our Professional Development workshops, who bring your own kids to our After 'Cool program, who write comments on our blog, who paint altars on Dia De Los Muertos, it is you, all of you, who help us make a difference  and we just can't thank you enough.

Some of the things you helped us do in 2010:

  • We continued to create first-class theatre, including this years's Critics' Choice production of our U.S. Premiere of La Razon Blindada, which has been extended into 2011
  • We continued our international work as Cultural Envoys with the U.S. State Department in El Salvador and toured two of our LA Times Critics' Choice Latino Theatre productions to more than a dozen cities in North, South, and Central America
  • We partnered with Boeing, Farmers Insurance, The Green Foundation, Hot Topic, JPMorgan Chase and USC to keep our acclaimed field trip program going for over 4,000 kids and teachers this year
  • We partnered with Farmers Insurance and USC's Rossier School of Education on Professional Development, and will teach free PD workshops in cities across the country this year
  • We partnered with USC to give inner city kids 30 weeks of free after school theatre workshops in our After 'Cool program
  • We partnered with the LA Philharmonic again to create The Hollywood Bowl's Summer Sounds show for young audiences
  • We partnered with Inner City Arts to create a new after school program for high school teens from across Los Angeles
  • We continued our annual Saturday Explorer Series for family audiences
  • We started a new strategic planning process
  • We partnered with the Irvine Foundation on our Teatro Nuevo Latino Theatre Initiative
  • We partnered with elementary, middle and high schools to create student theatre residencies for hundreds of kids
  • We launched our nationwide Enter Stage Right Arts Ed DVD and curriculum guide with our partners at Farmers Insurance

Thanks for believing what we do makes a difference. Thanks for being part of the 24th STreet Theatre family. Happiest of Holidays!

Thank you for allowing me to experience La Blindada Razon at the 24th Street Theatre. Not only was the play amazing, it also gave me insight into the experience of some of my English Language Learner sudents!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We will be back for other events!
