Campus and Community United says it is committed to uniting and empowering the University Park Community to create a just and vibrant neighborhood.
The group, which as 527 Facebook friends mainly with strong ties to USC, are trying to connect students and community members on projects that push toward a responsible future for the neighborhood.
They state they seek a
responsible future for both campus and community members through:
-Affordable Housing, both in its preservation and creation
-Safety while engaging enduring stereotypes about the community
-Small business development and entrepreneurship
-Environmental Sustainability in future neighborhood developments
They meet every

CCU says it recognizes the linked fate between the campus and the community and the current unequal landscape of opportunity that exists in the city, whether seen in terms of inequitable job, transit, or educational opportunities.
"Now is a key time to get involved. The election of an urban president, the creation of the office of Urban affairs, and USC's Master Plan all point to a renewed focus on our cities. We, as students and faculty on campus, with local community leaders and residents, seek to take responsibility for our neighborhood."
