Stocker Corridor Trail
Sunday, October 2 at 10 a.m.
This approx. 2.5-mile round-trip hike winds its way on a dirt path along the hillside beneath the lovely homes of View Park for great views of the L.A. skyline. Wear sturdy tennis or hiking shoes, a hat, sunscreen and bring water.
The views and wildlife may surprise you!
Street parking on Presidio Drive off of Stocker St. west of Crenshaw Blvd.
Meet at the corner of Presidio and Stocker, at the base of the trail.
This hike is part of a series of urban excursions LeimertParkBeat.com will lead on easy off-road paths near our community. Urban Hikes with Leimert Park Beat.com will be exploring natural settings to stay in shape and get healthy in urban Los Angeles.
The hikes are made possible because of support from the the USC Annenberg School's Reporting on Health Fellowship, funded by the California Endowment.
KCET Public Television will join us to do a feature on the trail and community health. Health policy expert Gwendolyn Flynn of Communities Health Councils will do the hike as well.
PLEASE share this worthwhile outing by inviting others.
