"Rooted in the feminine soul…", Vox Dance Theatre is an all-female classical modern dance company in its sixth year of presenting unique works of dance theatre. Formed by Artistic Director Sarah Swenson in 2004, Vox Dance Theatre gave its inaugural performance at the 2004 Festival Under the Stars competition in Palm Desert, CA, where they were Professional Division finalists. Since then, the company has been enthusiastically greeted everywhere it has traveled.
Vox Dance Theatre is continuously engaged in the creation and presentation of unique works of dance - the element of theater is central. A company of individuals, the gifts of each woman are recognized and used in the development of new work, with a strong focus on illuminating the feminine experience.
