A little about me:
The Community Based Learning Collaborative (CBLC) :

• Service learning links theory and practice by connecting faculty and students with the needs of K-12 schools, area businesses and community-based and governmental organizations

• The CBLC aims to document USC students’ real-world learning experiences that also deliver meaningful service to nonprofits, small businesses and governmental agencies

• The CBLC supports USC student engagement in learning beyond the classroom

• The CBLC supports USC schools and departments that provide the structure needed to guide and monitor USC students who serve as tutors, mentors, consultants, interns and mini-team teachers

• The CBLC seeks to increase awareness among students, faculty and community members about service-learning and other volunteer opportunities

• The CBLC promotes public service as an integral part of education, fostering in the process reciprocal and transforming relationships between the university and the community

Call for Projects!

The USC Viterbi School of Engineering is seeking projects for computer course CSCI577 for the 2009 fall semester. As part of their coursework, USC computer science graduate students develop e-service applications for area small businesses or nonprofits. We invite you to be a client during this upcoming year.

Call for Projects!

Sandra Chrystal, Associate Professor of Clinical Management Communication in the USC Marshall School of Business Center for Management Communication, seeks collaborative writing projects for the Fall 2009 or Spring 2010 semester. These projects allow advanced undergraduate writing students to study real-world situations and problems, to provide a business document for the agency, and to offer analyses and recommendations in the form of detailed written reports.
