Event Description

Adults and children of all ages are welcomed to participate in World Health Day LA, a free health and activities fair promoting healthy hearts, bodies and minds on Saturday, April 6, 2013. This year’s event includes free screenings for blood pressure, vision, diabetes, body fat analysis, cholesterol and more, as well as a physical-activities fair for children. This year’s event will focus on combating high blood pressure, a chronic medical condition that, with the right information and care, can be detected and controlled. World Health Day LA 2013 is co-sponsored by USC Institute for Global Health, Keck School of Medicine of USC, USC School of Pharmacy, UCLA School of Public Health, UCLA School of Nursing, the EXPO Center, City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks and Global Health Review. Health screenings will take place from 7:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., and the activities and entertainment fair will take place 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Expo Center Soboroff Sports Field, located at 3980 Bill Robertson Lane, Los Angeles, CA 90037.
