"so very grateful to be in attendance today at the memorial send off for the great Ndugu Chancler - it was a beautiful service with a lot of positivity and uplifting vibrations. great to hear Ndugu's wife, son, Patrice Rushen and the head of USC music all share their memories and thoughts on the great man. Stevie brought the funk to the church performing As along with Patrice and James Gadson, and Rev Michael Beckwith closed with a rousing eulogy and prayer. most all i was left with the impression of what a generous and great man Ndugu was. he leaves behind a shining example to aspire to - in artistic mastery, parenthood, generosity of spirit and love. fly with the angels Ndugu!" - MdC-L
