DOSE is an NIH funded clinical trial for people that have arm and hand weakness after a stroke.  We are testing varying doses of physical therapy using a program that involves challenging, intensive, and meaningful practice of functional tasks of your choice. 

Participation may involve 0, 15, 30, or 60 hours of focused physical therapy and assessment visits to the Bice Clinical Research center at the University of Southern California, Health Sciences Campus.

You may qualify if:

• You had a stroke at least 6 months ago
• Have weakness in your arm and hand
• Are able to open and close your hand to some extent
• Can attend sessions at the USC Health Sciences Campus

What will be measured?

• Arm and hand function using a battery of laboratory-based measures and behavioral questionnaires
• Arm and hand use in your daily life
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging Scan of your brain.
