2011 USC Good Neighbors Campaign

The USC Good Neighbors Campaign is a university-wide fundraising effort implemented by the office of USC Government and Civic Engagement. Proceeds support university-community partnership programs, including a cumulative total of more than 450 enrichment programs for local schoolchildren, volunteer projects and community research programs. Each year, more than 6,000 USC faculty and staff participate in this program via payroll deduction and one-time gifts. To date, more than $12.5 million has been raised over 17 consecutive years of the program.

ARC Smart: Bringing ancient artifacts into the hands of students

ARCSmart is a standards-based curriculum enrichment program which is a joint effort of LAUSD'S Art and Artifact Collection (AAC) and USC Dornsife's Archaeology Research Center. It provides students with hands-on access to ancient artifacts and exercises and reinforces their problem-solving skills and knowledge of ancient civilizations. Since its launch in 1995, USC's annual Good Neighbors Campaign has raised more than $11 million from faculty and staff donors to support university-community partnerships benefiting the neighborhoods surrounding USC's campuses. Under the banner of "A Tradition of Giving," the 2010 campaign aims to raise $1.3 million in voluntary contributions from university faculty and staff.
