The story behind the “Reyes Magos” comes from the bible. I remember celebrating this day as a child. The way we do it in our family, is by eating the famous “Rosca” which is sweetbread in the shape of an oval with fruit on top and drink hot chocolate. Inside the Rosca we hide a small toy (a baby) which symbolizes baby Jesus. We cut the Rosca just as you would cut a cake and whoever gets the Baby Jesus has to do a party (lol) we also give gifts to each other. I know there’s more to this story than the way my family celebrates, but this is the way we have done it for years.
