You need to be a seniors attending school in Los Angeles County with a minimum 3.0 GPA. You should highlight your commitment to community service and leadership in their school, church and life.

Nestlé USA and the Los Angeles Urban League will award two seniors with $5,000 college scholarships $5,000 (one male and one female) and $1,000 for five others.
Every participating student who submits a completed application will receive a Nestlé gift pack and a one-year student membership to the Los Angeles Urban League.
The scholarships will be presented at the Los Angeles Urban League’s 36th Annual Whitney M. Young, Jr. Awards Dinner on April 9 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel. The Urban League will honor our Black Men of the Oscars and give the Community Coalition Award to LA Police Chief William Bratton,.
This year the Los Angeles Urban League is bestowing the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Award to 19 African American men who have received Academy Awards from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The Awards Dinner was launched in 1974 to honor the legendary Whitney M. Young, Jr. who served as the Executive Director of the National Urban League.
