Ryman Arts Invites Angelenos to

"Make Your Mark in the Park"

Sunday, October 17

Ryman Arts' largest event for The Big Draw LA, "Make Your Mark in the Park," takes place this Sunday, October 17 from 1 to 3
p.m. in Exposition Park
, in collaboration with Exposition
Park, the museums in the park and the EXPO Center. You won’t want to miss
it!

Join Ryman Arts students and teaching artists to create a continuous, ½ mile long drawing on paper that rolls out and winds its way
around the park, beginning at the California African American Museum,
through the fragrant Rose Garden and past the Spider Pavilion of the
Natural History Museum.

We’ll provide the art supplies, you create the drawing! The huge continuous drawing will be photographed and ultimately showcased
as a "scrolling panorama" online. You won’t want to miss the
fun and creativity as we get hundreds of people drawing together at the
largest drawing event in California!

Invite family and friends to join you by forwarding this email to them.

Exposition Park is located in Los Angeles, home to project partners Natural History Museum,
California African American Museum, California Science Center, the EXPO
Center, and adjacent to USC. Parking is available at Exposition Park for
$8.

The Big Draw LA—a citywide celebration of drawing
throughout October—is currently underway, offering opportunities for
people of all ages to discover that drawing enhances how they see, think
and invent. The Big Draw LA is committed to promoting inclusiveness and
offering a diversity of drawing experiences. It is the first event of its
kind on the West Coast and is adapted from the wildly popular Big Draw in
the United Kingdom. The Big Draw LA is presented by Ryman Arts, an arts
education program that fosters the education of gifted young artists in
Southern California, in celebration of our twentieth anniversary.

Organizations can still register events open to the public at www.thebigdrawla.org.
Following The Big Draw LA, presenting organizations may apply for one of
several special awards that honor outstanding The Big Draw LA activities,
big and small.
