For the USC and Exposition Park neighborhoods in Los Angeles
At least 1,500 neighborhood children and parents are expected to attend this year’s annual USC Safe Halloween celebration, a collaborative effort that provides a safe Halloween celebration for children in our communit - a one-night extravaganza which includes a spooky haunted house, inflatable games, craft booths, a DJ, costume contests and prices, and of course candy and treats.
This year’s event will be held on Monday, October 31, 4-9 pm, at the Hoover Recreation Center,1010 West 21st Street.
The event has been sponsored by the USC Norman Topping Student Aid Fund for more than two decades and will be held in collaboration with the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation & Parks and the Hoover Recreation Center.
"Safe Halloween brings together children from the community and students at USC,” said Bertrand Perdomo, a current Topping Scholar. “But the uniqueness of this scenario is that children are able to see themselves being one of the USC students one day.”
