City officials and business groups continue to reach out to the USC Universtiy Park neighborhood to gauge the community's desires for the area's future.

“We want the people behind the plan,” Gabriela Garcia, a community organizer for the Neighborhood Land Trust, told Ariele Pratt of the Daily Trojan

That means they'll change the land-use plan depending on what people say during this series of meetings that started in October. The meetings continue until March. The next steps will include putting together architectural plans.

“Now is a pivotal moment because USC is making their Master Plan and they are working with the city,” Jenn Yee, a member of Campus and Community United, told Pratt. “In order for the community to get their voice heard, they have to get their voices heard now.”
