For the USC and Exposition Park neighborhoods in Los Angeles
On our bikes, maybe two dozen of us rode from Mercado La Palmoa to the 24th Street Theatreand the Velaslavasay Theater to the So Fresh FAME church farmers market.
Along the way, muralist Cauhtemoc shared the stories behind his work that beautifies our neighborhood.
Folk Art Bike Tours mix an exploration of art, neighborhoods and community gathering spots.
This time the focus was on West Adams and University Park, two of the oldest neighborhoods in the city - historic houses, murals, creative spaces and food starting at Mercado La Paloma and heading to 24th Street Theatre.
The ride was co-led by Heidi Zeller of Folk Art Everywhere and Damon Turner of Mercado La Paloma.
