Engilsh and Spanish as a Second language combo promotes learning and creates a cultural bridge

NANDC presents I HABLA U, an English as a Second Language (ESL) class and a Spanish as a Second Language (SSL) class taught in tandem by USC Masters Students.

Each student receives a community member mentor or study buddies to exchange information, to meet and speak to outside of class.

ESL classes are an important step for economic development within the Latino Community, NANDC says. Becoming proficient in English can also provide a stronger sense of belonging to the community. SSL classes provide necessary skills in a more competitive bilingual job market, while also creating a better understanding of foreign cultures.

More than a language class, I Habla U will create bonds across cultural boarders creating a more understanding and empathetic community.

This is a FREE class for the community but SPACE IS LIMITED! Classes will meet one night a week starting in January. If you are interested in joining the program please contact Idolina Delgado
