USC Transportation Services expects heavy traffic around the USC area beginning Saturday, June 25, 2011 through Sunday June 26, 2011.  Traffic congestion extending to the 110 and 10 freeways is expected due to events at the Galen Center and the Shrine Auditorium.
 
On Saturday, June 25, 2011, the Galen Center will host the 1st Annual Tip-Off Basketball game featuring L.A.P.D vs. L.A.F.D.  This event is expected to attract 6,000 attendees.  Jefferson Boulevard will be closed between Figueroa Street and Flower Street from 5:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.
 
On Sunday, June 26, 2011, the Shrine Auditorium will be hosting the Black Entertainment Awards Show.  The following street closures will occur:
Jefferson Boulevard will be closed in both directions from Figueroa Street to Hoover Street beginning at 6 a.m.
32nd Street will be closed from Figueroa Street to Hoover Street beginning at 6 a.m.
Figueroa Street will have one lane closed from 28th Street to Jefferson Boulevard beginning at 1 p.m.
Shrine Place between 30th Street and 32nd Street beginning at 8 a.m. until 2 a.m. June 27th
Royal Street between 32nd Street and Jefferson Boulevard beginning at 2 a.m. until 2 a.m. on June 27th
