Crime at historic lows in University Park, West Adams, Expo Park and South Los Angeles

Los Angeles ended the year with less than 300 killings – something that hasn't happened since 1967, when the population was almost 30% smaller.

A young Toiler journalist presents at USC

Manual Arts High School accommodates more than 2,500 students year round and is home to the oldest high school newspaper collection in Los Angeles. During the late summer of 2010 the Manual Arts High School Toiler Times newspaper began circulation again after a three year-long hiatus.

USC Kid Watch Safety Partners host the Ocotober Kid Watch Training



Kid Watch Safety Task Force Officers hosted the October Kid Watch Training's. Kid Watch members are required to attend two safety trainings a year. These trainings are held at Norwood Elementary, John Mack Elementary and Vermont Elementary. Along with "Basic Kid Watch Rules" members are served dinner.
