A young Toiler journalist presents at USC

Empowerment Congress at USC features newly elected Attorney General Kamala Harris; Town Hall Jan. 15

The 19th Annual Empowerment Congress Summit will feature Attorney-General elect Kamala D. Harris and USC President C.L. Max Nikias .

Crime at historic lows in University Park, West Adams, Expo Park and South Los Angeles

Los Angeles ended the year with less than 300 killings – something that hasn't happened since 1967, when the population was almost 30% smaller.

Day in Troy basketball event

For the past 7 years, the USC Athletic Department has hosted the annual "Day in Troy" which provides tickets to a women's basketball game as well as other unique experiences directly with USC student athletes. This year, the theme is "Educate and Celebrate."

Christmas Tree Give Away at USC starts Monday

The Bob Porter Foundation will give away Christmas trees on Monday, December 20th through Friday, December 24th.

 

The hours of operation will be 9 amand 9 pm in the USC parking lot on the Corner of Vermont Ave. & Jefferson Blvd.


Trees will be given away on a first come, first served basis and will be available until supplies run out.

USC Kid Watch Safety Partners host the Ocotober Kid Watch Training



Kid Watch Safety Task Force Officers hosted the October Kid Watch Training's. Kid Watch members are required to attend two safety trainings a year. These trainings are held at Norwood Elementary, John Mack Elementary and Vermont Elementary. Along with "Basic Kid Watch Rules" members are served dinner.
