- A little about me:
- The USC Occupational Therapy Faculty Practice offers several programs in Lifestyle Redesign®, an innovative, cutting edge approach (based on medical research) that gives you the tools you need to improve your health and boost your sense of well-being.
“Occupational Therapy” looks at how you occupy your time, and how your daily activities affect your health, wellness and life satisfaction. This health care profession assists clients to improve performance, prevent illness and disability, and promote adaptation to life changes. Occupational therapists are licensed by the state of California and registered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. All practitioners hold a Master’s degree, and many have earned a clinical doctorate degree.
When occupational therapists talk about “Lifestyle,” we are referring to the moment-to-moment choices everyone makes in their daily lives about what activities to do, and how to carry them out. Your lifestyle includes your work, leisure (including physical activity and exercise), time with friends and family, eating choices, sleep, personal care, intimate relationships, and how you choose to balance these activities during each day and week.
“Lifestyle Redesign®” is the process of acquiring health-promoting habits and routines in your daily life.
