Profile Information

A little about me:
Since 1996 USC Kid Watch has mobilized hundreds of volunteers in the University Park community to watch over neighborhood school children as they walk to and from school as well as to local museums, parks, the library and other neighborhood institutions.

Members are trained and appreciated at Spring and Fall Trainings and enjoy a Annual Picnic on the USC campus.

Training for the 700+ members takes place at one of the Family of Schools: 32nd Street /USC MAST K-12, Dr. Theodore J. Alexander Jr. Science Center, John W. Mack Elementary School, Norwood Street Elementary School, St. Agnes Parish School, St. Vincent Catholic School, Vermont Avenue Elementary School, and L.B. Weemes Elementary School.

Students are encouraged to look for the bright yellow Kid Watch decal or sticker on a Kid Watch members' front window or door. If a child has an emergency, the Kid Watch member calls 9-1-1. Children are taught not to enter any home.
