Barack Obama will visit Exposition Park on Monday evening, April 19. Several streets around University Park and Expo Park will be closed or experience heavier traffic than usual -

Figueroa Street between Exposition Blvd and Martin Luther King Blvd
Exposition Blvd between Figueroa and VermontFlower Street between Exposition Blvd and 38th Street/FigueroaFigueroa Street (southbound) between McCarthy Way (Gate 3) and ExpositionDuring this closure period, the campus entrances at Gates 1 (Exposition & Watt Way) and Gate 2 (Exposition & Pardee Way) will be closed to all vehicles entering or exiting. Vehicles parked in Lot 5 or the Childs Way Lot will be able to exit campus, either at old Gate 2 onto Figueroa or via a special route that will be set up from the Childs Way Lot to Gate 3. All other campus entrances which are normally open during this period will remain open.
Vehicles parked in Parking Structure 1 (PS1), Credit Union parking lot, and Tuscany Apartments garage will be able to exit during this closure period, but they must exit onto 37th Place or Flower Street, proceed north on Flower to Exposition, then east on Exposition to enter the 110 Freeway or continue east on Exposition out of the area.
This advisory has been prepared based on information available as of late Friday, April 16. Any changes made on Monday will be sent via Transportation email.
