I returned yesterday after 20-something hours on jets & in airports after a visit to the sunny climes of Vietnam & Thailand. I visited a wonderful record store in Bangkok (https://zudrangmarecords.com/) where I heard & purchased some exciting new music. I also found a few new cds awaiting me in the mail when I got home. Being a bit wonky from jetlag & w/ only two days to prepare a show for The Nixon Tapes on Roots Music 'n Beyond I will be winging it playing from my new cache of lps & cds in the studio this Saturday morning March 4th from 7-9 on KPFK 90.7 & streaming at kpfk.org, so tune in for some surprising sounds. If you can’t listen live the show will be available for two weeks @ kpfk.org under AUDIO ARCHIVES.

I will be celebrating the Lunar New Year on The Nixon Tapes # Roots Music & Beyond, KPFK 90.7 fm & streaming @ kpfk.org this Saturday, February 4th. In most Asian Countries this is the year of the Rabbit, but in Vietnam it is celebrated as the year of the Cat so don’t pussyfoot around & hop over to your radio this Saturday morning from 7 to 9. If you are not feline like tuning in @ that time you can hare the show for two weeks after the broadcast @ kpfk.org.
