Event Description

24th Street Theatre's Teatro Nuevo Internacional program is proud to present El Ogrito (The Ogreling), running May 3-June 21, 2009. This beautiful haunting work by Québec playwright Suzanne Lebeau explpores the monster within all of us. Adapted from the original French text, and presented in Spanish with projected English super titles, Lebeau's internationally acclaimed coming-of-age story for all ages chronicles the struggles of a young boy born to a human mother and an ogre father as he tries to overcome his animal instincts and find his place in human society.

El programa Teatro Nuevo de Teatro 24 se enorgullece en presentar El Ogrito, del 3 de mayo al 21 de junio del 2009. Este maravillosa obra de la escritora canadiense, Suzanne Lebeau, explora el mounstro dentro de nosotros. Adaptada del texto original en frances y presentada en español con supertitulos proyectados en ingles, esta internacionalmente aclamada historia de lebeau, nos narra la fragorosa lucha que un niño, hijo de un ser humano (madre) y un ogro (padre), sostiene contra el mismo para vencer las leyes de la herencia y el instinto y reclamar asi, su lugar en una sociedad "civilizada".
