" 'Lord of the Swing', tapper, bandleader & multi-talented performer. " -
We’re thrilled to welcome the legendary tapper, band leader and multi talented performer Chester Whitmore for a special evening of dance and jazz performance.
The program will highlight the history of Union Station and the building of railroads across America through a lively variety show featuring tap dance and 1930s / 1940s era jazz, and numbers such as Take the A Train, Chatanooga Choo Choo, and Red Car Boogie. The performance will pay tribute to everyone from the red cap porters working at train stations to the tap legends the Nicholas Brothers.
