Event Description

Join us on Valentine's Day for a special screening and opening reception for an exhibition featuring works by Guan Rong. Am I Not Here? is a film directed by Mike HJ Chang (a visual artist currently based in Singapore) and Guan Rong (a Los Angeles artist and life enjoyer). The film is an experimental autobiographical documentary about Guan Rong’s first 10 years in the U.S.

The exhibition will feature a selection of artist's books by Guan Rong. Special editions of Copyright-Free, Bonnie and A Picture Book will be presented together with the film as a book set. A unique package was handmade for each of the first 100 editions of these works, and eighty will be on display in the Ancillary Salon of The Velaslavasay Panorama from February 14th through March 17th, 2013.
